At Desert Spine and Sports Physicians, our physiatrists specialize in the non-surgical management of spine, joint, and musculoskeletal conditions. As experts in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R), we use state-of-the-art techniques to diagnose the underlying cause of your symptoms and develop tailored treatment plans emphasizing cutting-edge therapies to reduce pain and restore function. Whether you have back pain, a sports injury, arthritis, or another injury, we can help you find relief and get back to living actively.
Persistent neck or back pain can greatly interfere with daily life. Our physiatrists determine the source of the pain, whether it's a strained muscle, pinched nerve, sciatica, or other spine pathology.
A variety of non-surgical treatment options are available to ease pain and stiffness, as well as improve function and quality of life.
We treat a full range of injuries, including tendonitis and ligament injuries, such as sprains and strains, to relieve pain and restore mobility.
Physiatrists are experts at evaluating and treating all forms of musculoskeletal pain, from neck and back pain to muscle strains, joint injuries, and tendonitis.
We diagnose and treat all shoulder problems including rotator cuff tears, as well as elbow injuries, such as tennis elbow. Our nonsurgical options get you back to activity.
From heel pain and plantar fasciitis to ankle sprains, Achilles tendonitis, and arthritis, we offer nonsurgical ways to alleviate foot and ankle pain.

As the leading provider of non-surgical musculoskeletal therapies, our physiatrists have helped countless patients alleviate their pain and regain their mobility and health. We are dedicated to diagnosing, treating, and preventing spine, sports, and musculoskeletal pain and injury to help patients stay as active as possible at any age.
Our physiatrists take the necessary time to accurately pinpoint the source of a problem using specific diagnostic tools, including a detailed medical history and a complete musculoskeletal and neurological examination.
Rehabilitation physicians are trained in the interpretation of imaging studies such as X-rays, MRIs, and CT scans, and our physiatrists also perform electrodiagnostic testing (nerve conduction studies and EMG) to help diagnose certain nerve and muscle disorders.
Once we identify the source of pain, we develop a specific treatment plan tailored to a patient's needs. This comprehensive program may include individually focused physical therapy programs, targeted interventional procedures under fluoroscopy and ultrasound guidance, and non-opiate adjunctive medications.
Our innovative non-surgical treatments focusing on the whole person allow people to return to fully functional lives — often more functional than before.
Our comprehensive approach to treatment can help dramatically activate tissue regeneration, accelerate recovery time, ease pain, and restore function throughout the body. Benefits include:
